- Eligibility
Identity
Applicants must be of Myanmar nationality or meet the criteria outlined in Articles 2 and 3 of the "Regulations for Overseas Chinese Students Returning to Study in Taiwan" established by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China. Applicants must be current students pursuing bachelor’s, master's, or doctoral degrees at universities recognized by the Ministry of Education. This scholarship does not cover students attending various levels of tutoring or continuing education institutions, distance learning universities, exchange students, or those in continuing education programs for bachelor’s or master’s degrees that are designed for returning students. Students in special programs for foreign or overseas Chinese students (such as overseas Chinese special classes or international specialized classes) or joint industry-academic programs are also ineligible for this scholarship.
Conditions
Applicants must have a conduct score of 80 or above (inclusive) for the semester and no minor offense disciplinary action (inclusive) or above. If the school does not provide conduct scores, applicants should submit other relevant academic or livelihood-related achievements or ask teachers or recommenders to provide an explanation in the recommendation letter. Academic performance must meet at least one of the following criteria:
(1) Rank in the top 50% of the class.
(2) Average semester academic score of 75 or above.
(3) GPA of 3.0 or above or equivalent evaluation methods, with the conversion based on the assessment table of the school attended.
(4) Other exceptional performances approved by the administering unit.
- Quota and Scholarship Amount
For the second semester of the 114th academic year, it is expected to accept 2-3 students at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. The scholarship amount for undergraduate students is between NT$20,000 and NT$60,000, while for graduate students, it is between NT$50,000 and NT$90,000. The number of recipients and the scholarship amounts may be adjusted by the administering unit based on the applications received.

Undergraduate Students
(1) Scholarship application form.
(2) Copy of student ID or course enrollment confirmation, and a copy of the Myanmar ID (or passport) or proof of overseas Chinese student status.
(3) Original academic (including conduct) transcript or course completion certificate, and an original enrollment certification.
(4) Recommendation letter from the Chair of faculty, department, institute, or program, or from the project or program supervisor involved in internships or educational projects.
(5) Proof of not receiving other public funding or scholarships.
(6) Self-introduction.
(7) Other supporting evidence.
Graduate Students
(1) Scholarship application form.
(2) Copy of student ID, and a copy of the Myanmar ID (or passport) or proof of overseas Chinese student status.
(3) Original academic (including conduct) transcript and original enrollment certification.
(4) Research proposal or progress report.
(5) Recommendation letter from the thesis advisor (with an accompanying consent form). If a thesis advisor has not yet been selected, a recommendation letter may be provided by the department Chair or a full-time faculty member, or from the project or program supervisor involved in internships or educational programs.
(6) Proof of not receiving other public funding or scholarships.
(7) Self-introduction.
(8) Other supporting evidence.

The application period runs from February 1, 2026, to March 31, 2026. All applications must be submitted in both hard copy and electronic formats.

- Notes
(1) Please prepare the documents according to the "Application Checklist" and submit them in order. If any information is missing, the application will be deemed a waiver of eligibility.
(2) In addition to individual notifications, the list of awardees will be announced on the University for Life and Peace or Center website.
(3) Award recipients are required to attend the award ceremony held by the organizer and participate in educational promotion, networking events, public welfare activities, and services related to Myanmar's educational development organized by the Preparatory Office or Center.
