Respectable Rector Eddy J. Moors, Professor Chris Zevenbergen and former Interior Minister Lee of Taiwan and all who are here, good evening. 

Thank you for showing our common love, connecting people who care about ecology, and promoting a mutually beneficial and symbiotic earth family together.

Today, I am very happy that IHE and the University for Life and Peace (ULP) will sign the memorandum of Understanding for our cooperation on ecological education. 

Ecological education is the key solution to resolving the current crisis of human survival. Therefore, we plan to build the University for Life and Peace, a university built for mother earth. We start with spiritual ecology education, committed to holistic environmental education across fields such as spirituality, technology, ecology, with the purpose of solving ecological problems, establishing ecological ethics centering on all beings, promoting respect of the value of existence of all beings, tolerating and embracing each other’s space for existence, and giving with love, according to each other’s’ needs. It is a mutual aid symbiosis.

I hope that through education, human beings will be guided back to deep spirituality, and recognize the origin and equality of all beings. Starting from inner awakening, transforming will and action, creating innovative applications of technology, cultivating youth creativity and leadership, to face the challenge of ecological sustainability. Research and develop solutions to cure both the symptoms and the root cause.

Thanks to Minister Li’s recommendation, we know that IHE Delft is an education and research institution with strict levels of education, dedicated to water ecology for a long time, and has cultivated many outstanding professionals around the world. With a focus on solving the problems around the glober, especially on finding solutions for the development of the third world countries. Over the years, the institution has already made huge contributions and influence around the world.

IHE and the University for Life and Peace are also based on a common mission of "seeking a sustainable ecology for the earth"

After many times of communication and discussion over the past year, we understand each other’s philosophy, purpose and performance courses, and recognize that both parties are in their respective professional fields.

There are complementary benefits. Therefore, we will form a partnership, co-creating a course of spirituality and scientific cooperation. We hope that through the rich ecological education experience of IHE, as well as the spiritual ecology education of the University for Life and Peace, and integrating human spirit and wisdom, we can bring solutions and lasting vitality to the earth’s ecological crisis
